Strikethrough/Invalidate Phone Numbers
Our sourcing team often brings in potential numbers for contacts and wants to be able to tell if those numbers have already been used before and are invalid so they do not duplicate efforts when adding in data again. It would be helpful if we could either mark a specific number invalid, or strikethrough the number when we know it does not work.
To elaborate, the way the workflow would work that is causing an issue is something like:
1) Source additional numbers for a contact
2) We know a number is invalid after it’s called, so number gets deleted by caller (since it cannot be invalidated).
3) Sourcer finds that number again and puts it on the record again, not knowing that it was already an invalid number.
If it was marked invalid rather than removed, the sourcing team would know that they shouldn’t continue to bring it in.
From merged item:
"Invalid" option needed for email and phone type
If we find that a phone number or email address is “invalid”, it would be nice to mark them as such (instead of home, mobile, office, work, etc). If we delete them and then we use tools to go find contact information, our efforts might find us the same invalid information. If we deleted the record, we’ll make attempts to reach out to that emails address or phone number that we already attempted to reach out to.
